The last two quarterfinal places of the first CSA All-Orissa Open Snooker Tournament went to fourth seed Sureet Singh and unseeded Khalid Sultan, who registered 3-1 identical wins at Cue Sport Academy in Bhubaneswar today.
In the pre-quarterfinals, Cuttack cueist Sureet got the better of Amiya Ranjan Nayak, while Sultan prevailed over Mohammad Raza. In the last eight round, Sureet will be meeting giant-killer Jeet Kishore Das and Sultan will take on third seed Subrat Das.
Results: Pre-quarters: Sureet Singh bt Amiya Ranjan Mallick 3-1 (48-38, 50-61, 61-9, 68-29): Khalid Sultan bt Mohammad Raza 3-1 (60-28, 17-66, 54-31, 52-49).
